How To Play The Saxophone Solo From Da Doo Ron Ron By The Crystals

In the early 1960’s, when life was in black and white, The Crystals had a mega hit with their strangely titled song Da Doo Ron Ron.

Sometimes known as Da Do Run Ron, or Da Doo Ron Ron – or several other strange permutations and spellings of these 4 syllables, this song is classic 1960’s rock at it’s best.  It was unusual because it was NOT a 12 bar blues like many other songs were at the time.

And….it featured a Baritone Saxophone solo.

The good thing about Bari saxophones is that they are in the same key as Alto saxophones, so they translate nicely together.

In this free saxophone lesson, we will learn how to play the saxophone solo (most of it) for Da Doo Ron Ron on our Alto saxophones.
