How To Play Gimme Some Lovin By The Blues Brothers On The Saxophone | Saxophone Lessons

The Blues Brothers were a band that came out of a movie….and quite simply they are an AMAZING band with an amazing brass section.

They had several hits and well known songs: one of which is called “Gimme Some Lovin”.  And this song is just ripe for playing on your saxophone.

Well, my temperature is rising, got my feet on the floor
Crazy people knocking ’cause they’re wanting some more
Let me in baby, I don’t know what you got
But you better take it easy ’cause this place is hot
And I’m so glad you made it, so glad you made it
You got to gimme some lovin’, gimme, gimme some lovin’
Gimme some lovin’, gimme, gimme some lovin’
Gimme some lovin’ everyday !

The Blues Brothers actually did a cover version of the original by the Spencer Davis Group, which was in a slightly different key.  Both versions are great !

However, in this saxophone lesson we are looking at The Blues Brothers version of Gimme Some Lovin’..
