Your tongue is a vitally important body part when it comes to learning how to play the saxophone.
It can be used to add musical flavour, emphasis, break up notes and add new ones. It can be used strictly or lazily.
Your saxophone tonguing technique can make a HUGE difference to your saxophone playing.
In this lesson, we talk about using your tongue with your saxophone.
We also talk about NOT getting stressed or worried about your saxophone tonguing !
In short, your tongue blocks and stops the flow of air into your sax. It can take a bit of trial and error and practice to get it right.
