How To Play D on the Alto Saxophone.
Hello and welcome to this Notes On Alto Saxophone series.
In this lesson for Beginner Saxophone Notes, we are going to learn how to play the note D on our alto saxophone.
There are actually THREE D notes on alto saxophone.
Description:
1 To play a low D, add all three main fingers on your left hand, plus all three fingers on your right hand.
2 To play a middle D, keep all main fingers on their main keys just like a Low D, but add the Register key with your LEFT thumb.
3 To play a high D, keep the Register key (sometimes known as the Octave key) using your LEFT thumb at the back of your saxophone, but remove all 6 main fingers. Using the lower outside of your LEFT index (pointer) finger, add in the first upper side key.
