David Bowie Sorrow Sax Solo

In 1973 David Bowie had one of his many mega hits – Sorrow.  Sorrow by David Bowie has a nice little saxophone solo in the middle, played by Bowie himself.

This saxophone lesson is about how to play the David Bowie Sorrow sax solo.

The David Bowie Sorrow sax solo only has a few notes and is not difficult.  It is a great little solo to learn from a beginners or new(ish)-to-saxophone perspective !

If you get a moment, have a look at the original Sorrow video on youtube.  In true David Bowie fashion ( Ha !  See what I did there ?!? ), there are weird people wearing black and white spandex body suits with large strange hats.

I’m not sure if odd clothes will help you play this little solo in the above video saxophone lesson – but, hey, it can’t hurt 🙂

This video saxophone lesson for Sorrow by David Bowie is an edited and condensed version.

The full and complete version of this and all of our saxophone lessons is available to our Members inside our Members Area.
