How To Play My Boy Lollipop On The Saxophone

My Boy Lollipop Saxophone Lessons

My Boy Lollipop was a huge hit for Millie Small in the mid 1960’s and it had another round at or near the top of the charts in the early 1970’s.

It has a lovely little recurring riff / musical theme running through the choruses that is just right for us on our Alto Saxophones.

Would you like to learn how to play My Boy Lollipop on the saxophone ?  Of course you would !!

My Boy Lollipop by Millie Small will give your pinky fingers a great workout.  This will be extremely handy for when you play with guitarists and pianists, as this version of My Boy Lollipop is in a key that suits Concert instruments (pianos and guitars), but not so much us saxophonists.  However, that’s ok….we are better and far more superior than they are so it is what it is and is not worth worrying about 🙂
