Tequila Saxophone Lessons
In this saxophone lessons blog post and video, we learn how to play Tequila on the saxophone !
Tequila by The Champs is a great instrumental song from the late 1950’s when Rock n Roll was just starting to burst into the world.
It was the kind of song that “square” parents and adults would shake their heads at as they thought the “kids” were were being corrupted and the whole world was descending into madness because of this new fandangled rock and roll craze that was sure to die out very soon……. 🙂
The great thing about learning how to play Tequila on the saxophone is that it is still a fantastic song today – even after 60+ years. And it very heavily features a saxophone playing the main melody !
The Champs featured a Tenor saxophone in their original recording. Here in this Tequila saxophone lesson, we learn how to play Tequila on the Alto saxophone.
So, if you have a love for early and classic rock hits (and a hatred of the drink like I do !) then please grab your sax and let’s get into it. And don’t forget to shout “Tequila !!” at the end 🙂
